How Costco's Black Label Cashews Differ From The Classic Variety
BY Marina S.
A black label can refer to any luxurious and exclusive product. This applies even to Costco’s Kirkland Signature Black Label Whole Cashews.
What makes the black label cashews more luxurious and exclusive is the use of what is called a W180 grade cashew, which is considered to be the best variety.
What W180 means is that there are 140 to 180 nuts per pound of cashews and that they are the largest and offer the most nutritional value per nut.
W180 cashews are also considered to be rare. The brand sources its cashews from independent farmers in over 20 countries, including Brazil, Ghana, and Vietnam.
