Here's Why You Should Be Mixing Cream Soda Into Your Bourbon

Bubbly cream soda's sugary flavor has strong notes of vanilla that perfectly complements the sweet notes in bourbon, making it the perfect mixer.
Vanilla also goes beautifully with caramel, another common flavor note in bourbon thanks to the new, charred oak barrels it is aged in.
Additionally, cream soda is super sweet and refreshing while bourbon is rich and strong in flavor. These opposing flavors balance each other out nicely.
Using cream soda as a mixer for bourbon is straightforward. Pour a ratio of 1:1 to 1:4 bourbon to cream soda and be generous with the ice.
