Here's Why Keurig Pods Should Be Removed After Each Brew
BY JOLEE SULLIVAN
While Keurig pods offer convenience, the warm and moist environment becomes a breeding ground for bacteria and mold when they are left in the machine.
Regular removal of used pods ensures that your coffee remains fresh and extends the lifespan of your Keurig machine by preventing buildup and clogging in the pod holder.
If you accidentally leave a used Keurig pod in the holder overnight, it's important to run a cleansing brew with water to prevent any long-term damage and clean out the machine.
If the pod has been left in for a couple of days, you may want to descale the machine to remove any calcium build-up.
