Here’s What The White House Kitchen Stocks For President Biden
By KALEA MARTIN
From President Richard Nixon's cottage cheese and ketchup breakfast to George W. Bush's cheeseburger pizzas, the White House Kitchen staff has had to field a lot of interesting requests from former Presidents. However, Joe Biden seems to be an anomaly because he only has three simple requirements for his pantry.
President Biden requests that ketchup, peanut butter, and jelly always be stocked in the White House pantry. However, the President eats more than peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and also prefers to have on hand vanilla chocolate-chip Häagen-Dazs ice cream, Special K cereal, sliced cheese, sliced bread, six eggs, a garden-fresh tomato, and two apples.
President Biden typically has a soup and chopped salad with grilled chicken for lunch, and for dinner, a simple pasta with red sauce enjoyed promptly at 7 o’clock in the evening. According to First Lady Jill Biden, “He’s pretty much a basic eater,” and when the two enjoy a meal outside of the White House, he usually opts for Italian food, a hamburger, or a sandwich.
