Here's The Worst Recipe Of Alton Brown's Career, According To Him
BY James Andersen
Alton Brown seems to have an ace up his sleeve for just about any recipe, but there's one comfort food favorite he considers the worst of his career: slow cooker lasagna.
Brown's recipe didn't measure up to his usual standards. Lasagna is usually baked in the oven, but Brown's version tried to simplify and speed up the process with a slow cooker.
His ingredients also raised more than a few eyebrows. It calls for meat, veggies, and noodles like a traditional lasagna but then adds a twist with dried goat's milk powder.
In his book, Brown described the recipe as "the most hated Good Eats recipe." He also disapproved of his use of dried goat milk and how the noodles ran up the side of the cooker.
