It's no secret that Babe Ruth had a voracious appetite, and his first meal of the day itself consisted of a porterhouse steak, per his 1975 biography "The Life That Ruth Built."
Ruth's steak was typically paired with four to a dozen eggs, fried potatoes, a pot of coffee, and a pint of ginger ale mixed with a pint of whiskey, and this was on a daily basis.
In another instance, Ruth doubled up on the porterhouses for dinner and paired it with two orders of cottage potatoes, two heads of lettuce, and two slices of apple pie à la mode.
