Here's A What A Typical Breakfast In Germany Looks Like
BY Nancy Parode
Germans take their breakfast seriously and prefer leisurely morning meals with a variety of foods. It's also heartier than the American or even French and Italian breakfasts.
They almost always feature fresh baked goods, traditionally bread and rolls like croissants, soft pretzels, or brötchen, and are often enjoyed with coffee, tea, milk, or juice.
You'll likely find butter, jam, honey, cheese, and sliced cold meat for the bread. Nutella is a favorite spread; the chocolate-hazelnut flavor goes perfectly with brötchen.
Other offerings include sausage, boiled eggs, fish, yogurt, fruit, sliced cucumbers, cereals, oatmeal, muesli, or quark, a cultured soft curd cheese with a yogurt-like consistency.
