A glass of the banshee cocktail

Grasshopper Cocktail Fans Will Adore The Lesser-Known Banshee Drink
BY SIMONE GERBER
The vivid green color of the Grasshopper cocktail is a mainstay made with mint, chocolate, and dairy. If you love it already, then the Banshee is a drink that you need to try.
Developed in the 1970s, the Banshee is velvety in texture and has notes of cocoa. It trades the mint for banana, resulting in a cocktail that's more tropical than crisp.
To make one, all you need is white crème de cacao, banana liqueur or crème de banane, and some heavy cream or half and half. The cocktail will be light brown and slightly thick.
The drink is served over ice in a variety of glasses and often comes ungarnished. It’s a milder cocktail with 15% alcohol, so it’s excellent for those searching for a gentle buzz.
