Giada De Laurentiis's Store-Bought Ingredient For Italian-Style Chicken Tenders
BY JULIA HOLLAND
Giada De Laurentiis puts an Italian twist on chicken tenders by using Italian seasoned breadcrumbs. She adds freshly grated parmesan for salty, nutty, flavor and extra crisp.
De Laurentiis skips the egg wash and instead, she soaks her chicken pieces in buttermilk both as a tenderizer and an adhesive for the Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs.
Then, she drizzles olive oils onto the coated tenders and bakes them in the oven at 425 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes. They end up with a perfect fried taste and golden color.
