As one TikToker demonstrates, McDonald's legendary crispy fries can get even crispier without compromising their flavor when you order them "well done" or "extra well done.”
Ordering the fries well done makes them crispier, a bit darker, and hot and fresh when they come out of the fryer. You may need to pull ahead and wait a bit, but it's worth it.
French fries are typically dropped in the fryer for seven to ten minutes, and well-done fries usually take another few minutes to reach that desired level of extra crispiness.
