Freeze Canned Coconut Milk To Improve The Texture Of Iced Coffee
BY KAREN HART
Iced coffee can quickly become diluted as the ice cubes melt, but by using frozen coconut milk cubes instead, your drink will stay creamy with a fun tropical vibe.
Coconut milk is mostly coconut extract and water, which makes it perfect for freezing, but it's essential to shake the can before opening as its contents tend to separate.
Pour a can of coconut milk into an ice cube tray and place it in the freezer for three to four hours. Once frozen, pop them out, add them to your coffee, and enjoy.
The light, creamy taste will slowly infuse into your coffee as you drink it, and while you may not notice the change in flavor during those first few sips, you will by the last.
Sweetened or unsweetened coconut milk will work, but when choosing between full-fat and light milk, keep in mind that the light version can taste more watery than creamy.
