For The Crispiest Tater Tots, Don't Pay Attention To The Package's Instructions
BY Claire Redden
Although store-bought tater tots come with instructions on how to make them, following these steps won't result in the food becoming truly crispy.
The best thing you can do for your tater tots is to ignore the step-by-step guide printed on the bag. These guides hardly allot enough time to get them good and crispy.
Instead, you should either increase the heat in your oven or cook them longer. For even more promising results, you can do both.
What you're doing here is simply cooking with your eyes, waiting long enough for the tots to develop the ideal shade of golden brown before taking them out.
