Fluff Up Store-Bought Frosting To Give It A Homemade Texture
BY AUSTIN HAVENS-BOWEN
To give your store-bought frosting a homemade quality without sacrificing texture, fluff it using a high-speed mixer, which incorporates air to make it fluffy and light.
This will make the icing easier to work with and spread onto baked treats. It can even potentially double the amount of icing, so one can of it will go much further.
Simply add the icing into a bowl and use an electric mixer to whip it for two to three minutes. If whisking by hand, add a bit of whipping cream first to thin out the frosting.
