Exactly How Many Ponderosa Steakhouses Are Still Standing In The US?

The U.S. was home to more than 700 Ponderosa Steakhouse locations during the 1990s. However, today, there are only 21 locations in the country, per the official Ponderosa website.
Three of those 21 spots are temporarily closed, meaning there are only 18 remaining Ponderosas with open doors, and they're heavily concentrated in the Midwest.
There are five outlets in Michigan, four in Pennsylvania, three in Ohio, and one each in Minnesota, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Virginia.
