Dress Up Your Pork Dishes Using A Balsamic Marinade
BY AUSTIN HAVENS-BOWEN
You can upgrade a basic pork chop with a delicious balsamic marinade. Tasting Table's Air Fryer Pork Chops recipe by Kit Hondrum is a perfect place to start.
Hondrum says, "These pork chops are perfect for a quick weeknight dinner but also perfect for a date night in." The acidic vinegar tenderizes the meat with a sweet-tart flavor.
Hondrum recommends marinating two 10-ounce boneless pork chops and then cooking them in the air fryer for 10 minutes. The vinegar marinade will prevent the meat from drying out.
If you're cooking for multiple people, double the recipe for four pork chops. If you use chops that have bones or are thicker, you might have to air fry them for longer.
The marinade is made with 1/4 cup maple syrup, 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar, 1/4 cup olive oil, 3 minced garlic cloves, 1 minced rosemary sprig, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp black pepper.
Combine these ingredients and marinate the pork chops at room temperature for 30 minutes. While the meat air-fries, simmer the marinade for 10-15 minutes to thicken it.
Serve the sliced pork chops with a final glaze of the balsamic sauce. Extra sauce can be spooned over rice or vegetables and served on the side.
