Ditch Powdered Sugar And Use This Drink Mix Instead For Richer Desserts

Powdered sugar is a key ingredient in icings, glazes, and final touches for several baked goods, but for richer desserts, you can easily swap it out for hot chocolate drink mix.
While powdered sugar is fairly one-dimensional as an ingredient, hot cocoa mix has a diverse depth that'll both sweeten chocolate desserts and make them even more chocolatey.
Most hot cocoa mixes contain sugar, cocoa powder, and milk powder or creamer, so you'll be giving your dessert a milky, creamy, sweet upgrade along with added notes of cocoa.
Hot cocoa mix makes an easy one-to-one substitute, but you can also make it finer first by running it through a food processor. It can also be used in icing, frosting, or glazes.
