David Chang's Favorite Tuna Brand Doesn't Even Have A Fishy Taste

For home cooks needing a satisfying meal that they can whip up quickly and without much effort, chef David Chang suggests using his favorite canned tuna: Dongwon.
On Instagram, he notes that Dongwon — packed in a fermented chili paste used in Korean meals called gochujang — doesn't taste like tuna and is on his list of top 10 tinned foods.
Chang says its flavor is delicious and sweet. For those who like more heat in their meals, the same brand makes a double hot sauce variety, though it can be tricky to find.
Besides the hot pepper sauce, Dongwon adds small potato and carrot pieces to the tins, which, Chang says, aren't needed. However, the overall flavor makes up for those additions.
