Costco’s Meat Department Is Where You’ll Find The Best Deals
BY BRIAN UDALL
Costco's meat department is full of secret deals and discounts, but some aren't available unless you ask for them, so it pays to stay informed.
There's a 10-pound chub of ground beef that isn't stored on the shelves, but employees will know what you're asking for. The price is generally around 3 to 4 dollars per pound.
Costco’s meat choices can be expensive, but with their premium cuts, it pays to buy in bulk. The New York strip steak is about $12 per pound and is good quality.
For even more luxury, Costco’s massive 11-pound cut of A5 Japanese Wagyu New York Strip Loin Roast is to die for. It can still be pricey, but you’re unlikely to find a better deal.
