Not all Kirkland Signature products are shrouded in secrecy. While some manufacturers don't place their names on the label, many others, like Keurig, do.
In addition, Costco itself owns factories that produce Kirkland Signature groceries, which helps keep costs down. Kirkland's hot dogs are probably the best-known example of this.
Businesses can legally file appropriate resale paperwork with their Costco Business Center in order to buy and resell Costco products, including Kirkland Signature groceries.
In 2024, Kirkland Signature changed the packaging of some of its coffee products being supplied by Starbucks, removing the coffee chain's name and logo.
