Cinnamon is an effective cleaning agent thanks to its antibacterial properties, which have been shown to inhibit the growth of pathogens that cause infectious diseases.
Moreover, cinnamon can be used as a powerful pest repellent, adding preventative protection against ants and other insects that may infest your home.
To repel ants, sprinkle ground cinnamon or cinnamon oil on places where they might come in, or mop your floors with water infused with cinnamon. This interrupts their scent trails.
For an all-purpose natural cleaner that smells great, mix 1 cup vinegar, 2 cups water, and 1 tablespoon each of baking soda and cinnamon powder or a few drops of cinnamon oil.
