Chick-Fil-A's Discontinued Chicken Salad Is Super Easy To Make At Home
BY ELIZABETH OKOSUN
Years after discontinuing its chicken salad sandwich, Chick-fil-A has decided to release an official recipe, giving fans the chance to bring back the item in their own kitchens.
If you've missed this salad, you'll be happy to know that the recipe is quite simple, calling for chicken breast, celery, sweet pickle relish, mayonnaise, and eggs.
Season the chicken with lemon, sea salt, garlic, and savory herbs like basil, oregano, and thyme before grilling. Add it to a food processor with the celery, mayo, and relish.
Process the mixture on low to medium speed for five seconds. Add one or two peeled, hard-boiled eggs, then process the mixture until the salad achieves the texture you desire.
To finish, lightly toast two slices of bread and sandwich the chicken salad with lettuce. Dig in and enjoy the authentic flavor of a Chick-fil-A chicken salad sandwich at home.
