Bobby Flay Uses These Affordable Meats When Cooking For A Crowd
BY LINDSAY CRONIN
In an interview with Tasting Table, Bobby Flay revealed that he likes to reach for skirt steak and chicken thighs when hosting dinner for a group.
According to Flay, chicken thighs have "way more flavor." They are also generally cheaper than both breasts and tenders, being closer in cost to drumsticks.
Flay also said that skirt steak has "tons of flavor," and that's not all. "It's economical. It's pretty easy to cook, you can get a really great crust on it."
At Walmart, skirt steak is sold for about $10 per pound alongside other cuts like its ribeye, which costs nearly $15 per pound, and its $11 per pound sirloin.
