Le Dôme Café
A seafood restaurant that Anthony Bourdain called a must-visit in Paris, Le Dôme Café featured high praise from the chef on the Paris episode of "The Layover."
Bourdain ordered a seafood tower, which included oysters, crab, shrimp, langoustine, periwinkle, clams, and whelks. Le Dôme also offers plenty of other options.
Bistrot Paul Bert
Also featured in "The Layover" is Bistrot Paul Bert, a classic institution of Parisian dining and the best of both worlds between traditional and modern.
While here, Bourdain ordered steak au poivre. If you need another reason to trust this is an excellent place to dine, it also made Ina Garten's list of 14 spots to eat in Paris.
Restaurant Le Fémina
On Season 6 of "Parts Unknown," Bourdain visited the iconic Algerian restaurant, Restaurant Le Fémina, in Marseille.
Here, he dined on a feast of couscous, chicken, meatballs, vegetables, and merguez sausage. Le Fémina's couscous is unique as it's made with barley instead of wheat.
Le Comptoir du Relais
Bourdain visits Le Comptoir in Season 6, Episode 24 of "No Reservations," a Parisian bistro dedicated to fine food but in a more casual setting.
The celebrity chef dined on dishes such as an amuse bouche of foie gras. The blood sausage ravioli is an item Bourdain says in the episode is the best thing he's tasted all year.
Paul Bocuse Restaurant
When Bourdain was in Lyon for "Parts Unknown," he visited the restaurant of one of the forefathers of French cuisine, Paul Bocuse.
Bourdain visited Restaurant Paul Bocuse while Bocuse was still alive, and they shared an extravagant meal of dishes like black truffle soup and pastry-covered sea bass.
