An Irish Coffee Martini Is A Combo Of 2 Caffeinated Cocktails
BY ANNA STAROPOLI
An Irish coffee martini merges the best of an Irish coffee and an espresso martini, resulting in a delicious, caffeinated beverage that's uniquely its own.
The cocktail picks and chooses specific characteristics of each drink. It combines whiskey and coffee liqueur, like Irish coffee, and uses espresso and simple syrup.
Be sure to use quality ingredients. Aidan Mehigan, founder of Natterjack Irish Whiskey, suggests a whiskey that's "smooth with soft edges" and "premium, quality espresso."
Shake about 1.5 ounces of whiskey with an ounce of coffee liqueur, an ounce of espresso, and your simple syrup to make a delicious Irish coffee martini.
