Food show host Alton Brown is a well-respected foodie, and when it comes to oyster bars, his absolute favorite place in the U.S. is Eventide Oyster Co. in Portland, Maine.
The seafood spot puts a creative spin on New England classics, among which Brown's favorites are the Brown Butter Lobster Roll and the Fried Oyster Bun.
The quality of the seafood here can't be beaten. Its website itself claims it to be "the sharpest seafood money can buy," thanks to its close proximity to the Gulf of Maine.
