All You Need Is One Ingredient For Finer Texture In Granola Bars
BY MICHELLE WELSCH
To keep your homemade granola bars firmly together without letting them turn into crumbly messes, use brown rice syrup to help bind all the ingredients.
On top of binding the ingredients together, brown rice syrup lends a subtly sweet flavor and a pleasantly chewy texture to your homemade granola bars.
While maple syrup is often used in granola bar recipes, you’ll have an easier time experimenting with ingredients and maintaining texture by using the less-sweet brown rice syrup.
Beyond granola bars, brown rice syrup can also be drizzled onto pancakes or ice cream, or you can even use it in a marinade or salad dressing.
