15 Starbucks Drinks That You Likely Won’t See Again
By COURTNEY YOST
Valencia Orange
This Starbucks Refresher, featuring orange, herbs, and spices and garnished with an orange slice, was dumped off the menu 7 years ago to make room for the Strawberry Açaí Refresher. Many patrons still mourn this menu option and its pick-me-up boost of caffeine.
Unicorn Frappuccino
Released in the spring of 2017, this drink was sweet, sour, and beloved by Instagram users nationwide. However, a café called The End filed a lawsuit against Starbucks, claiming that the Frap was too similar to their own unicorn-inspired drink; now, this menu option only lives on in myth.
Fruitcake Frappuccino
This drink was made with hazelnut crème, matcha, caramel, dried fruit, and cinnamon, and even came with a reusable sleeve that resembled an ugly Christmas sweater. However, fruitcake is pretty divisive in of itself, and the drink wasn't a hit, causing Starbucks to toss it out.
Cool Lime Refresher
This drink was made with lime and hints of mint, making it perfect for keeping cool on hot days. However, much like the Valencia Orange Refresher, this one was removed from the menu to make room for other drinks, and fans are still making angry noise about the decision.
Zombie Frappuccino
Available during a 6-day window during the Halloween season of 2017, this drink was meant to taste like a caramel apple, using a crème base plus sour apple and caramel flavors. The appeal of limited edition drinks is, well, the limited aspect, so we likely won't see this one rise from the grave.
