Tennessee Truffles

The Périgord region of France isn't the only place that's got game when it comes to growing black truffles. Look out, world, because here comes Chuckey, Tennessee and Tom Michael's black Périgord truffles. Grown among 18 acres of truffle trees, Michael's truffles are foraged by his prized truffle-hunting dogs (Lagotto Romagnolos), who have been known to find up to 200 pounds of fungi in a single season. Shave these black beauties over homemade vanilla pudding, a steaming bowl of creamy grits or a plate of scrambled eggs (with biscuits on the side, of course). They're worth the investment.
