Revival Market: This Houston store has big plans on the horizon: This spring, owners Ryan Pera and Morgan Weber will open an Italian spot called Coltivare. To prepare, they're hosting bimonthly multicourse dinners at Revival. The next dinner, taking place on February 12, spotlights the beef from nearby Augustus Ranch, and a dinner on March 12 will offer a sneak peek at Coltivare's menu.
The Wandering Goose: You have to rise early to sample Heather Earnhardt's exceptional Southern desserts at this new café-cum-bakery in Seattle. But those in the know skip the morning rush and wait until Friday night, when Earnhardt serves a family-style meal based on the food of her childhood in North Carolina.
Court St. Grocers: One of Brooklyn's best-kept secrets is the monthly dinner held at this beloved grocery. The next one--on February 22--includes dishes like cauliflower with whipped egg yolks and veal meatloaf. With luck, the dinners will pick up in frequency when the owners open their second location, which was held up due to damage from Sandy.
