How To Make A Frozen Fruit Wine Slushie Video

Blitz wine with frozen fruit for a frosty cocktail

This wine slushie starts out innocently enough. Like the base to any good smoothie, it starts with a few cups of cubed frozen fruit in a blender. Then it takes a swift turn into YOLO-territory once white wine is mixed in with the fruit. A squeeze of lime finishes it off and you're a 3-ingredient blender blitz away from the summer drink you didn't know you needed.

Make this drink using any type or combination of frozen fruit you like. We went with frozen mango and watermelon—blended separately—so we could create the two-tone tropical drink of our dreams.

To make this tropical wine slushie, blend 2 cups of frozen mango cubes with 1 cup of chilled white wine and juice of half a lime. Blend until smooth. Pour out and set aside. Give the blender vessel a rinse. Blend 2 cups of frozen watermelon cubes with 1 cup of chilled white wine and juice of half a lime. The watermelon slush will not be as thick as the mango.

Spoon a quarter of the mango slush into the bottom of a rocks glass. Pour the watermelon slush over to fill the glass. Garnish with a lime wedge. Makes about 4 slushies.
