Starbucks Releases Unicorn Frappuccino

Horns and magical wings sold separately

First came the PSL, then the infamous "pink drink" and now Starbucks is embracing the Internet's obsession with rainbows and unicorns by bringing us the Unicorn Frappuccino—a sweet and sour concoction that changes flavor and color as you stir it.

The drink is made with a sweet dusting of pink powder and blended into a crème frappuccino with mango syrup, according to a press release from Starbucks. An electric sour blue drizzle runs through the middle of the drink, which is finished with vanilla whipped cream and sprinkled with a sweet pink and sour blue powder topping.

The mythical frozen treat starts off as a sweet, fruity drink that's purple with swirls of blue, then becomes a tangy, tart pink drink when stirred, the company says in a statement.

Though we imagine drinking one of these would be like eating a cupcake in liquid form, you have to admit, it is Instagram worthy—and there is no shortage of evidence to prove it. Already, the hashtag #unicornfrappuccino turns up more than 1,000 hits on Instagram.

Even the baristas, who originally leaked the news of the limited-edition drink on Reddit and Instagram, are sharing their colorful creations with the world.

We suggest getting to the nearest Starbucks soon if you too want to see the magic happen. The mystical drink will be available only April 19 to 23 in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
