Loring Place's California Wine Relief Efforts

Head to Loring Place for good wines with a great cause

Even if you're stationed in New York, you can still do your part to help California recover from the devastating fires: All you have to do is drink wine.

For at least the next two weeks, chef Dan Kluger's Loring Place will donate 20 percent of sales from select California wines to the Napa Valley Community Foundation and the Sonoma County Resilience Fund. Natalie Johnson, wine director for the restaurant, which opened to much acclaim late last year, is leading the cause. She's put together a list that includes everything from sparkling wine from the 150-year-old, historical-landmarked Schramsberg Vineyards to some of the area's top Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs.

While you're there, you might as well stick around for dinner. Don't miss the baked ricotta with kabocha squash and grilled sourdough, any of the pizzas and, of course, a fully loaded cookie box to end the night.
