Best Bartending Class In NYC

Going back to school has never been so much fun

School's back in session, but instead of syllabus papers and Scantrons, the Liquor Lab in Soho is arming students with muddlers and cocktail shakers.

The recently conceived school is the brainchild of Owen Meyer, who explains his courses are just like any other hands-on cooking class—except dedicated to the boozy aspect of your meal. Each seminar is led by a professor specializing in various topics, like a crash course on stirring Negronis or an advanced exploration into savoring whiskey. So whether you're a budding home bartender or mixology enthusiast, you're bound to find a lesson that's right up your alley.

But if you need help powering through a two-hour lab, the classes also include food pairings, like a margarita and taco-fueled teaching, or the one we're hosting: a seminar on February 27 where you'll learn how to mix four Asian-inspired cocktails, matched with dumplings from NYC's favorite dim sum guru, Wilson Tang of Nom Wah.

Just be sure to claim your seat at the front of the class.
