The 8 Best Happy Hours In Los Angeles | Tasting Table LA

A geographic guide to getting sauced on the cheap

Leave the office early and belly up to the bar for these top L.A. happy hours organized by neighborhood and in no particular order.

FIG (Santa Monica)

It's only 60 minutes long (5 to 6 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday), but FIG's happy hour doesn't just discount drinks. Instead, nearly everything is 50 percent off, including bottles of wine and almost the entire menu. Wowzers.

The Corner Door/A-Frame/Waterloo & City (Culver City)

Why pick one when three great happy hours are on the same block? Get a shot of whiskey and a Miller High Life ($6) at The Corner Door, then Parmesan- and sour cream-crusted potato skins ($3) and a frosty Hite ($3) at A-Frame. Finish with a chicken pot pie ($7) at Waterloo & City along with their rotating beer of the night ($4). Then call a taxi.

Scarpetta (Beverly Hills)

The "$8 Until 8 p.m." deal lets you turn the normal (read: expensive) experience into luxury on a budget. Cocktails and eight of their dishes are $8, so stock up before your carriage turns into a pumpkin.

Fat Dog (Mid-City)

This Fairfax gastropub makes it feel like 1998 again: Nothing on the happy hour menu is over $6 (we're talking $3 beers and $4 fried pickles). Bring a ten-spot and indulge.

Birds (Hollywood)

Two times the happy hour! Stop in between 4 and 6 p.m., then again at 11 p.m., Tuesday to Thursday, to score $3 and $5 beverages. You can drink up, see a show at UCB, then come back for more.

Allumette (Echo Park)

While you can't have dinner here for less than $45 per person, you can still get the Allumette experience with $5 beers, $6 glasses of wine and a daily $7 cocktail. Prix fixe that!

Blue Cow Kitchen (Downtown)

The "Stay Sassy" Rolling Rock and a shot of Jack combo will only set you back $7, and there's a buck or two knocked off of most of their appetizers. Sassy indeed.

Spoonful (The Valley)

This Southern-fried spot sticks to a $5 cap on their apps, so fried green tomatoes can be yours for a Lincoln.
