Look Out For Weekend Brunch At Starbucks

Make some room for a side of waffles with that pumpkin spice latte

While the country may be fixated on this year's arrival of the pumpkin spice latte, which officially reared its frothy head this morning, Starbucks is testing out another noteworthy addition: brunch. According to coffee blogger Starbucks Melody, the coffee giant started testing out a weekend brunch menu at 78 locations in Portland and Seattle last week.

Items like French toast, Belgian waffles and quiche with cage-free eggs are available from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m., or until they run out.

For a company that never stops evolving and trying out new options (happy hour, anyone?), it's no surprise that Starbucks is testing the brunch waters. With fast-food chains developing all kinds of breakfast options and companies like McDonald's rolling out all-day breakfast, it was only a matter of time until Starbucks took its pastry, pumpkin loaf and breakfast sandwich game to the next level.

Here's hoping they add a coffee cocktail to the brunch menu, and we'll see you there.
