Krispy Kreme Teams Up With Ghirardelli

Krispy Kreme and Ghirardelli have entered into a beautiful union to bring you two creamy chocolate creations you didn't know you needed. Starting April 3, dessert diehards in the U.S. and Canada can get mint chocolate and sea salt caramel doughnuts inspired by Ghirardelli chocolate squares, PopSugar reports. Both are filled with a rich center and topped with a lavish chocolate frosting. The doughnuts have the same fluffy interiors and "krispy" outsides we have come to love, but incorporate Ghirardelli ingredients and flavors.

For those who can't decide between salty and sweet, the sea salt caramel doughnut is for you. It's stuffed with salted caramel filling, dipped in chocolate icing, topped with chocolate and caramel drizzles, and sprinkled with a blend of salt, amber sugar and Ghirardelli mini chocolate chips.

As for the mint chocolate doughnut, White Mint Kreme fills the center, while chocolate icing, a drizzle of green icing, Ghirardelli mini chocolate chips and a dusting of powdered sugar grace the top.

For those of you who have already run out of Samoas and Thin Mints (no shame), these sweet, salty and minty creations sound like the perfect substitution to us.

And though nothing can replace the classic elegance of a Krispy Kreme Original Glazed, we'll be running for these beauties the second that Hot Now light flashes. These perfect pastries are available only for a limited time at participating locations. Here's to hoping there's one near you.
