How To Host A Party Like Dale Talde

The chef's pretzel pork and chive dumplings are legendary for a reason

The best weekends always start on Thursday—especially when that means ringing in the weekend with a bash hosted by Tasting Table and Top Chef alum Dale Talde at his Jersey City outpost of Talde. Between bites of falafel bao, yuzu guacamole, fish tacos and the chef's famed pretzel pork and chive dumplings, guests got to take a ride in a BMW.

Inside, Talde was busy showing off his kitchen chops, teaching guests how to grill the perfect steak and dishing advice on mastering the art of dumpling folding. To wash it all down, guests sipped on signature cocktails like the Calamansi Collins with calamansi honey, lemon, vodka, St-Germain and soda, and Talde's Winter Mule with vodka, mandarin-thyme syrup, lime ginger beer and mandarin leaf.

For those driving, there were inventive mocktails like lemongrass jasmine iced tea, a rosemary blueberry smash and a strawberry ginger lemonade. The night ended on a sweet note with a dessert Talde calls the 5G: bars made with chocolate ganache, potato chips and pretzels that we'll be dreaming about long after the weekend ends.

Let's get this party started.
