Our Favorite Ice Cream In Miami

Our favorite ice cream in town

Summer is so close we can taste it. Literally.

Beat the heat one lick at a time with some of the best ice cream in town, from familiar abuela-style flavors and totally chill sorbets to bowls of molecular magic.

Here, in no particular order, are our favorite ice cream shops in Miami.

Azucar Ice Cream Company in Calle Ocho

The Abuela Maria (single scoop $3.50)–vanilla ice cream mixed with red guava paste, cream cheese and galletas Maria–is becoming a local favorite. The Pinot Noir sorbet feels just as good as that end of the day glass of wine.

Wall's Old Fashioned Ice Cream in Glenvar Heights

It's hard to miss this groovy old-fashioned ice cream parlor. The flavors are what you'd expect from good old American-style ice cream. Don't miss out on Tom's homemade fudge; chewy praline FTW ($12.80 for 6 pieces).

Quarterman's in Downtown

Take a stroll with a triple cone ($6.50) stacked with your favorite flavors; treat your date to an after-dinner malt ($5.50) or float ($6.50).

The Frieze Ice Cream Factory in Miami Beach

Nothing beats the seaside heat like these homemade vegan-friendly sorbets, which change daily. And did we mention the champagne sorbet?

Whip 'N Dip in South Miami

One of the oldest ice cream joints in town still rocks the locally sourced mango ice cream (small $3.70). Feeling overzealous? Opt for your own signature sundae served in a sand pail ($30).

? Gelateria 4D in Multiple Locations

Gelato: it tastes as sexy as it sounds. Nutella, strachiatella, pretty much anything that ends in ella works for us.

? Chill-N Nitrogen Ice Cream in Pinecrest

Here's chemistry that anyone can love. The texture is unbeatable! Pick a base and mix-'ns, then watch the liquid nitrogen transforms fresh ingredients into velvety goodness. Got a "chilln' equation"? Post it on Instagram for a shout out. A new location just opened in Adventura!
