With only France and Croatia left standing, the stage is set for the FIFA World Cup final, which means you have just mere days to realign your allegiances. Make note: The final is on Sunday, with third and fourth places to be decided on Saturday when Belgium faces England. If your invitation to Russia, like ours, got lost in the mail, here are seven L.A. spots also playing host. Hold on to your vuvuzelas—this weekend is going to be a wild ride.
La Plaza de Cultura y Artes
We're lovin' this: McDonald's is hosting a viewing party outfitted with none other than a McDonald's food truck. You and other early birds can expect free breakfast and coffee when you show up (and out) for the 8 a.m. match. Expect a massive screen in the Plaza courtyard, along with live entertainment and family-friendly activities for good measure.
The Fox & Hounds
Sure, England losing was a huge upset. But that's not stopping this Studio City pub from showing the matches on its multiple screens.
For the final, you can enjoy fish and chips, steak and kidney pie, and 16 draft beers. Luckily, the pub serves all-day breakfast, which will be available during the 8 a.m. game and later, when, y'know, you get a hankering for celebratory bacon.
Morrison Pub Atwater Village
This Scottish pub will be airing the final match on seven televisions all hooked up to a surround sound system. During the game, the bar's selection of 40 craft beers is going for $6 a brew, and a select number of beers, including Modelo, will be available for $5 each. As for food, you already know: Get the burger.
Goal Sports Cafe
With 14 televisions extending wall-to-wall and a 12-foot projection screen, Goal Sports Cafe promises you won't miss a minute of the action. Unless, of course, you turn away to take your pick of the bar's selection of 30 beers, plus 16 on tap.
The Stalking Horse Brewery & Freehouse
For $4 drafts, a projector screen and multiple televisions streaming the match, make your way to The Stalking Horse. The brewery will open at 7 a.m. and serve its British menu and beer flights during the game. Guests will have access to the spacious patio, as well as the main and front dining rooms to see who takes home the Cup.
La Poubelle
Wagering Croatia fans will be in short supply at this French bistro, which will open its doors at 7:15 a.m. Fuel up on breakfast menu items like croque-monsieurs and ratatouille omelets. The match will stream on two televisions in the main dining room and on one television in the private dining room, which will be open to the public.
Rasselbock Kitchen & Beer Garden
Claim your spot at this spacious restaurant and beer garden as early as 7:30 a.m.. The game will be shown on all indoor televisions and projectors, and on the two televisions in the outdoor beer garden. This German spot will be offering special World Cup breakfast and lunch menus curated to mark the end of the tournament. And for an hour following the game, all Erdinger beers will be half off.
