Sure, Friday the 13th kicks off the weekend, but don't let that keep you indoors streaming Netflix (you can re-watch Nailed It! another time). From a Brooklyn beer bash to a burrata-making class, there's plenty to do outside the confines of your couch.

All Weekend

Brooklyn Beer Mansion

Friday through Saturday, explore Brooklyn Brewery's beer mansion, which is being hailed as a four-in-one spectacle, with games, art installations, concerts and, of course, beer. With six different breweries on-site, there will be plenty to cheers with.

Friday, April 13

Waffles and Dinges Factory Tour

Explore the inner workings of the popular NY waffle empire: Learn the secret to its speculoos cookie spread and even take a turn at making your own waffle during an hour-long, behind-the-scenes look.

Saturday, April 14

Any-Spring Goes! Vegan Shop-Up!

Head over to this pop-up vegan market to find locally made goods and gifts. Get addicted to vegan mac and cheese, beef-less burgers and egg-free cinnamon rolls. (Just don't forget to take a reusable bag to carry finds like vegan mayo and soy candles.)

Brooklyn Wine Fest

Try wines from all over the world at this unlimited sipping session. Practice your sommelier skills by trying samples from more than 20 wineries and learning from on-site vendors.

Eno's Chop Bar

Dress in your "African best" for a secret underground dinner. (Chop bars are West Africa's equivalent to pop-up restaurants.) Be prepared to experience authentic African cuisine and make new friends at this interactive meal.

Sunday, April 15

Nigella Lawson at 92Y

The celebrity chef is dishing on her new book, At My Table: A Celebration of Home Cooking. Hear all about the book's creation and meet the Domestic Goddess afterward for a signed copy.

Burrata Making at Murray's

Join Murray's in sampling several types of burrata (which the shop affectionately calls "the food version of Beyoncé") before rolling up your sleeves to make your own.
