Tasting Table Guest Chef Dinners 2018

Announcing our 2018 guest chef lineup

This year marks a turning point for women in food. We've seen the deserved downfalls of some of the major players in the industry (lookin' at you, Batali) make way for a long overdue feminist movement in the culinary world. At Tasting Table, we're psyched to see this change, join the movement and celebrate in the best way we know how: by throwing dinner parties with some of our favorite chefs. So this year for the first time ever, our guest chef lineup is 100 percent women.

We couldn't be more excited to introduce you to these inspiring, game-changing guest chefs from across the country. They're master bakers, butchers, leaders, locavores and business owners. Some you've heard of; some are behind-the-scenes stars. Join us each month as we share their recipes, videos and more. And for our NYC friends, we'll host exclusive events, so you can hear their stories and taste their food in person.

In 2018, it's about moving forward, proudly celebrating chefs we love (and we know you'll love, too) and throwing some damn fun parties.

Learn more about the lineup below and keep an eye out for ticket sales (don't worry, we'll send you a reminder).

February

Leah Cohen, of NYC's Pig and Khao fame, kicked off the year. The former Top Chef contestant prepared a family style meal of Thai crispy fish with a green mango salad, Indonesian smoked duck, braised oxtail and calamansi tarts.

April

Kate Williams is at the heart of Detroit's culinary renaissance. Her new restaurant, Lady of the House, is an ode to the women who raised her. The menu is reminiscent of her Irish roots, with global inspiration woven throughout (get tickets here).

May

Nyesha Arrington calls her Los Angeles restaurant Native "an expression of love through food," and she's bringing that to the East Coast for a one-night affair.

June

Angie Mar owns The Beatrice Inn, where she lights Peking duck on fire tableside, dry-ages burgers for 45 days and serves worth-the-price-tag steak, all with unabashedly passionate primal flair.

July

French chef Laetitia Rouabah leads the kitchen at classic NYC bistro Benoit, keeping it fresh as it celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. Fittingly, she'll be storming the Test Kitchen with a special Bastille Day dinner.

August

Don't let the art fool you—Suzanne Cupps is the real reason people keep returning to the Whitney. She's the executive chef at the museum's restaurant, Untitled, where dishes like crispy butterball potatoes and fried fish lettuce wraps steal the show.

September

Dianna Daoheung, the James Beard Award-nominated baker and partner of Black Seed Bagels will lead a brunch party, pastries and famed wood-fired, hand-rolled bagels in tow.

October

Join the delightful Dorie Greenspan as she celebrates the release of her next cookbook, Everyday Dorie, which brings readers into her home—essentially a dream come true.
