Recipe: Negroni With Sparkling Wine

A bubbly take on everyone's favorite bitter drink, courtesy of Craftbar

Craftbar's J Rosser Lomax is a firm believer that you should add bubbles to everything—within reason. Here, he adds a dash of Pinot Noir sparkling wine to a bitter Negroni to spectacularly effervescent results.

Ingredients
  • 1½ ounces London dry gin (such as Tanqueray)
  • ¾ ounce sweet vermouth (such as Cinzano)
  • ¾ ounce Campari
  • Ice
  • 1 ounce Pinot Noir sparkling wine
  • Orange twist, for garnish
Directions
  1. In a pint glass, combine the gin, sweet vermouth and Campari. Stir with a bar spoon and pour into an ice-filled rocks glass. Top with the Pinot Noir sparkling wine and serve with an orange twist.
