Nicole Lebedevitch of The Hawthorne's luxurious Cognac and Cynar cocktail, aptly named Ce Soir, is lush and silky, but with a bitter edge that makes you feel like a grownup.

Ingredients
  • 2 ounces Cognac
  • ¾ ounce Cynar
  • ½ ounce yellow Chartreuse
  • 2 dashes orange bitters, such as Regan's
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • Lemon peel
Directions
  1. In a mixing glass, combine Cognac, Cynar, Chartreuse and bitters. Stir, and then strain into a chilled snifter. Garnish by twisting the lemon peel over the drink to release its oils, then discard peel.
