Our Drinks Editor, Jim Meehan, takes advantage of summer's bounty of fresh herbs to create this bright, citrusy cocktail made with Irish whiskey, yellow Chartreuse, fresh lemon juice and fragrant lemon basil leaves.

3 to 4 lemon basil leaves (small), plus more for garnish
¾ ounces Yellow Chartreuse
1½ ounces Irish whiskey, preferably Jameson
¾ ounces fresh lemon Juice
In a shaker, muddle the herbs with the Chartreuse. Add the remaining ingredients to the shaker. Shake and fine-strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with a lemon basil leaf and serve.
