"Anyone can cook," says, well, the animated chef, Auguste Gusteau, in Ratatouille, but that's the gist of Anne-Sophie Pic's latest cookbook. Pic, France's only three-Michelin-starred female chef, welcomes students of all ages (there are recipes for kids) and skill sets to the kitchen with lessons based off her cooking school in Valence by the same name (it's a mash-up of the words "school" and "cook"). Tricky techniques are photographed step by step, and there are more than 100 recipes for home cooks to bring a little Pic precision into their kitchens.

More of spring's best new cookbooks right this way.
