Buffalo Wild Wings Is Bringing Fans An Ultra Boozy Mountain Dew Drink

Attention all lovers of the Long Island iced tea! Buffalo Wild Wings is responsible for bringing fans an ultra boozy Mountain Dew drink called the Legendary Long Island cocktail, featuring the newly released MTN DEW LEGEND. If you're craving a new signature cocktail for the summer, this drink could prove tempting.

In a press release shared with Tasting Table, Rita Patel, the Chief Marketing Officer at Buffalo Wild Wings, explains, "We know MTN DEW fans are all about bold flavors and experiences, so we're thrilled to offer them an exclusive beverage and new cocktail creation that will help fuel their great times at Buffalo Wild Wings."

The exclusive Mountain Dew flavor collaboration with Buffalo Wild Wings was first announced in early March. With the same invigorating taste of the original MTN DEW, the charcoal shade of MTN DEW LEGEND suggests something a bit different, namely a distinct burst of blackberry, along with a zing of ginger and hint of zesty citrus. Kicking things up a notch, the restaurant is also offering patrons a trendy cocktail.

The Legendary Long Island will make you rethink everything you thought you knew about Long Island iced tea — starting with the onyx hue that fades into a vibrant green. Crafted with rum, vodka, tequila, triple sec, lemon sour, and MTN DEW LEGEND, the boozy beverage adds a berry freshness to a bar classic.

How to enjoy the boozy collaboration

Part of a continued partnership between Buffalo Wild Wings and PepsiCo., the Legendary Long Island cocktail will be available exclusively at Buffalo Wild Wings locations across the nation. Guests are invited to dine in and taste the carbonated cocktail.

As for pairings, the press release states that the sweet yet tart flavors of the Legendary Long Island can stand up to fiery fan favorites like the limited edition Doritos Flamin' Hot Nacho Sauce, while also faring quite well with Buffalo Wild Wings staples like burgers and wraps — something that pro basketball player A'ja Wilson endorses. "The refreshing Legendary Long Island cocktail is a must-try for any fans celebrating their team's playoff game win ... or even loss," Wilson said.

Interestingly, this isn't the first alcohol-infused collaboration for Mountain Dew. VinePair reports that the soda brand recently ventured into the world of hard seltzers, creating boozy blends, aptly named HARD MTN Dew. Thrillist even reminds fans of the Dew that the soda's origins recall being meant as a whiskey mixer following a shortage of a lemon-lime soda.
