Irish Bread And Butter Pudding Recipe

Ingredients
8 slices white bread
¼ cup butter
2 cups milk
2 cups heavy cream
4 eggs + 3 egg yolks
1 cup white granulated sugar, divided
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup sultanas or raisins
Directions
Begin the recipe by slicing the crusts off of the bread, then slicing the bread into triangles. You should end up with 16 total triangles.
On a cutting board, butter the bread slices, then arrange the individual triangles in the casserole dish.
Pour the sultanas or raisins evenly over the bread.
Make the custard in a mixing bowl using eggs, egg yolks, heavy cream, milk, ¾ cup of sugar, and cinnamon, combining with a whisk.
Pour the custard mixture onto the bread and sprinkle the remaining ¼ cup of sugar on top.
Set the dish aside for 20 minutes and heat the oven to 350 F.
Place the dish in the oven and cook for 40 minutes.
Take the pudding out of the oven and set aside for 20 minutes, allowing the custard to set.
Serve warm and enjoy.
