Ingredients
  • 1 sugar cube
  • 3 dashes Angostura bitters
  • Club soda
  • 1 ounce Rittenhouse rye
  • 1 ounce Del Maguey Vida single-village mezcal
  • Ice
  • One 1-by-2-inch piece of lime zest, for garnish
Directions
  1. Place the sugar cube into a rocks glass and soak with the bitters and a small splash of club soda. Muddle the sugar and liquid into a paste. Add the rye, mezcal and ice and stir well (make sure a good amount of water melts into the drink). Garnish with the lime zest and serve.
