Directions
In a quart jar, combine dried orange peel with the cracked cardamom. Add hot water to cover, and let soak for no more than one minute. Add the dried hibiscus petals, and add hot water to cover. Stir for 30 seconds, then strain into a clean container. Measure the amount of liquid, and add an equal part sugar, by volume. Stir until sugar has dissolved. Keep the syrup refrigerated until using.
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the gin, orange liqueur, lemon juice and hibiscus syrup. Shake well until chilled. Add the club soda to the shaker, and strain the contents of the shaker into a Collins glass filled with fresh ice. Garnish with the lemon twist; serve with a straw.
