Cheesy Funeral Potatoes Recipe

Ingredients
  • One can of cream of chicken soup
  • 2 cups of sour cream
  • 10 tablespoons of butter melted, divided
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 ½ pounds of potatoes, cut into 1-inch chunks or frozen hash browns, thawed
  • 2 ½ cups of grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 pinch of pepper
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 cups of corn flakes
Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the chicken soup, sour cream, 6 tablespoons of melted butter, onion powder, and garlic powder.
  3. Add the potatoes and the grated cheese. Mix well together, then place the mixture in a baking dish.
  4. Place corn flakes in a large freezer bag. With a rolling pin, smash the corn flakes into small pieces.
  5. Put the smashed corn flakes into a bowl, then mix with 4 tablespoons of melted butter. Spoon this mixture on top of the potatoes in the baking dish.
  6. Put the baking dish in the oven, uncovered, and bake for 40 minutes.
